Roland DG Completes Relocation and Commences Operations at New Head Office

Roland DG Corporation (Headquarters: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan; President, Representative Director: Kohei Tanabe), a global manufacturer and distributor of wide-format inkjet printers for advertising and signage and 3D tools for manufacturing, announced today that it officially commenced operations at its new head office on November 1, 2023. The relocation involved consolidating its previous head office and Miyakoda office, both located in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka.

The new head office enables employees to choose their workspace from four distinct areas: “Concentration,” “Share,” “Communication,” and “Creation.” These areas are designed to foster idea generation and enhance communication among employees. Additionally, the office features private booths suitable for remote meetings and promoting diverse work styles tailored to specific needs. It also includes training rooms and shower facilities, supporting employees in achieving a healthy work-life balance.

Environmentally-Conscious Office

The new office is equipped with solar power generation facilities on the rooftop and high-efficiency air conditioning units, earning it a “Nearly ZEB” certification. Aligned with global efforts for carbon neutrality, the office achieved a 75% reduction in primary energy consumption through a combination of energy conservation and creation. In consideration of the high seismic risk of the region during a Nankai Trough earthquake, the building’s seismic resilience exceeds the national standard by 1.5 times. Emergency generators are also installed, ensuring employee safety and business continuity during a crisis.
